The first step in addressing any skin concern is cleansing the skin morning & night. Apply a dime-size amount to a dampened face, massage gently for 60 seconds and rinse thoroughly with luke warm water until the cleanser is gone.
Each serum is formulated to address a specific skin concern and can be used morning & night depending on the product. Use by applying one pump of the serum after toner/prep solution, gently smoothing evenly over face and neck.
Used 1-5 times per week, exfoliants are essential to remove the buildup of dirt, oil and dead skin. Exfoliation increases the radiance of skin, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improves product penetration. Cleanse skin thoroughly and rinse well. Then apply a quarter-size amount of exfoliant to cleansed dry skin.
To use as an exfoliant, dot on forehead, cheeks, chin and nose. Spread quickly and evenly, dampening fingers with water as you spread. Massage over face in circular motions for 1-2 minutes. Concentrate on rough, dry or pigmented areas. Rinse clean.
To use as an exfoliant mask, apply masque to the face and massage in circular motions for 1-2 minutes then leave on for 10-15min. Concentrate on rough, dry, oily or pigmented areas. Rinse off thoroughly with tepid water.
Use Morning & night after cleansing & toner, exfoliant and any appropriate serums. Apply a dime-size by massaging moisturizer gently onto face and neck.
Everyone needs sunscreen!!! People of all skin colors and ethnicity get skin cancer. more than 2 million people are diagnosed annually. Some of these skin cancers could have been prevented with protection from the sun’s rays by using something so simple by using sunscreen. There are two different types of sunscreen protection. Physical sunscreens protect your skin from the sun by deflecting or blocking the sun's rays. Chemical sunscreens work by absorbing the sun's rays. Some chemical filters can scatter sun rays, but still mostly just absorb them. I recommend using a Broad-spectrum sunscreen protection (protects against UVA and UVB rays) with ingredients like titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide (physical sunscreen) at a 10%. I also recommend using a topical Vitamin C serum with L-ascorbic acid. Vitamin C has a naturally SPF (but cannot replace sunscreen) and is a powerful antioxidant that helps to protect against free radical like UV.
The second step in an effective skin care regimen, toners & prep solutions help prepare skin for correcting agents such as serums and improve the efficacy these products. Use morning & night, misting over the entire face and neck immediately after cleansing and before application of other products. They may be used as desired throughout the day to rehydrate the skin.
